Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) for Blue Myco B-310L, B-550L & B-1180L Sterilizers

Replacement mechanical pressure relief valve for the dome lid of the Blue Myco B-310L, B-550L and B-1180L commercial sterilizers.

The PRV is the machine's primary mechanical safety device. It vents automatically once chamber pressure climbs past the safe operating limit, with no input from the operator and no dependence on the controller. It is the one component on the vessel that works whether or not anything else does.

Replace the PRV if:

• It is visibly damaged, corroded or seized
• It weeps or leaks steam at normal operating pressure
• It has worked loose in its fitting
• You are unsure of its service history on a used machine

Inspect both relief valves before every cycle. If either one is damaged or loose, take the machine out of service until it has been replaced — running a pressurized vessel on a suspect relief valve is an explosion hazard.
