Heating Element for Blue Myco B-310L, B-550L & B-1180L Sterilizers

Replacement 5.5 kW heating element for the Blue Myco B-310L, B-550L and B-1180L commercial sterilizers. 220/240V. Sold individually, without a wired cable.

The elements mount to the angled tubes in the base of the vessel. Depending on your configuration the machine runs one, two or three of them, each with its own switch and indicator light on the PID panel. This is a single element, so order the quantity your unit uses.

Replace an element if:

• Its indicator light stays dark while the others heat
• Cycles are taking noticeably longer to reach temperature
• You see heavy scale build-up, pitting or corrosion on the element
• The element has warped or contacted other components inside the vessel

Getting the most life out of it: elements must stay fully submerged whenever the cooker is running — a dry element will warp and pop. Keep the external connections wrapped in thermal tape, and run the recommended duty cycle of roughly 6 minutes on, 30 seconds off. Both go a long way toward extending element life.

All electrical work should be done with the unit powered down, by a licensed electrician where local regulations require it.
