Chemical integrator strips that confirm a sterilization load actually reached sterilizing conditions. Place one inside the load, run the cycle, and read the result in seconds: green means accept, red means reject.

A pressure gauge tells you what is happening at the gauge, not at the center of a packed load. Dense substrate, overfilled chambers and trapped air all create cold spots that pass on paper and fail in the tub two weeks later, long after the batch has been spawned and shelved. These strips are the check that catches it at the autoclave, while the load can still be re-run.

Specifications

  • 10 strips per bag
  • Integrates time and temperature across three time/temperature relationships, correlating with biological indicator performance
  • Clear "Accept" (green) and "Reject" (red) zones
  • Reads within seconds of cycle completion

How to use: place a strip in the densest, most central part of the load — inside a bag in the middle of the chamber, not on the outside of the stack — where a cold spot is most likely to occur. Read immediately after the cycle.

Essential for anyone sterilizing supplemented substrate or grain spawn. See our sterilizers, autoclaves and pasteurizers and sterilizer parts.
