What it actually changes in a cycle
Bags stacked directly on racking sag, lean, and block each other. The result is cold pockets — areas of the load that never reach sterilization temperature even though the chamber display says it did. That is one of the quieter causes of contamination in a run that looked perfect.
The Steam-Flow tray gives you a rigid, level platform with evenly distributed 3/8" laser-cut perforations. Bags sit flat, steam moves through the deck rather than around it, and you get an additional stable storage level. More load, more consistent cycle, same machine.
Two-piece design. Each half slides in separately, so you are not wrestling a full-width sheet through a chamber opening. It drops onto the side rails already in your autoclave.

Fabricated in the USA from NAS-certified 304/304L stainless steel, sourced directly from North American Stainless with full traceability. This is not generic imported sheet.

Fits the B-1180L and B-550L only. These are cut to those chamber dimensions and will not fit our B-310L, the vertical 150L and 200L units, or third-party autoclaves. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure which chamber you have.

Common questions
Will this fit my autoclave?
Do I need to modify my autoclave to use it?
No. It slides directly onto the side rails and racking already in the chamber. Nothing is drilled, welded, or removed, and it comes out as easily as it goes in for cleaning.
Why does the perforation pattern matter?
A solid shelf blocks steam and creates cold pockets underneath it — areas of the load that never reach sterilization temperature while the chamber gauge reads correctly. Evenly distributed 3/8" holes let steam move vertically through the deck, so the whole load comes up together.
Why two pieces instead of one?
Handling. Each half slides in on its own rather than manoeuvring a full-width sheet through the chamber opening, which matters when the machine is still warm and you are turning a cycle around.
Is the stainless really traceable?
Yes. The sheet comes from North American Stainless with full mill traceability, certified to EN 10204:2004 3.1, free of mercury and radioactive contamination, and DFARS compliant on domestic melt and manufacture. If you need documentation for an institutional purchase, ask us.
