Couldn't load pickup availability
This is a third-generation B-1180L that we owned and ran ourselves. It was never sold, never installed on a farm, and never traded in. It lived at our California facility running demonstrations and test batches, and it is now inspected, refurbished, and available at well below the price of a new chamber.
- 1,500 lbgrain per cycle
- 5003 lb bags per cycle
- 1 yearwarranty, same as new
- Newelements and valves
- 220V1-phase or 3-phase
Where this machine has actually been
Used commercial equipment usually comes with an unanswerable question: who ran it, how hard, and what did they skip. That question does not apply here.
- It was oursUsed for demos and test batches at our own California facility, not sold into production and bought back
- Fully inspectedGone through by the people who build these machines
- RefurbishedAll-new heating elements and all-new pressure control valves
- WarrantedBacked by the same full 1-year warranty as a brand-new unit
Only one unit is available. Pre-owned chambers appear here when we have them and disappear when they sell. Email info@bluemycomfg.com for detailed photographs of this specific machine before you commit.
The same chamber, at a lower number
Nothing about the capability is reduced. This is the full B-1180L: our largest chamber, double deck, 500 three-pound grain bags or roughly 1,500 pounds per cycle. Run on the standard two-cycle day — morning load, afternoon turnaround, overnight run — that is about 3,000 lbs of grain a day.
For most buyers the real comparison is not new-versus-used at this size. It is this chamber against a new machine two sizes smaller for similar money. If you need the capacity, buying it refurbished usually beats buying new and outgrowing it.

Measure before you order. At 101 inches tall this unit needs genuine ceiling height and a doorway path to its final position. Confirm ceiling clearance, door width, and your available electrical service before purchase.
Sterilizes and pasteurizes
Like every B-series chamber, this unit holds a low enough setpoint to run true pasteurization cycles as well as sterilization. Grain spawn, master's mix, supplemented hardwood blocks, bulk substrate, filter patch bags, agar, and plant tissue culture media all run in the same machine.
Our 150L, 200L, and 25Q units do not offer that — they sterilize only. If pasteurization is part of your program, a B-series chamber is the requirement, and this is the least expensive way into the largest one we build.
Built to run unattended
- Programmable controller — precision processing, completes the cycle and shuts itself down
- Two loading manholes — efficient loading and unloading across both decks
- Two racks — keep bags from being crushed under their own load during a cycle
- Integrated electronic safety features — standard across the B-series
- Single or three phase — configured to your facility
Common questions
How heavily was this unit used?
Lightly. It ran demonstrations and test batches at our own California facility rather than daily production on a farm. It was never sold to a customer, so there is no unknown service history behind it.
What was replaced during refurbishment?
All heating elements and all pressure control valves are new. The unit was then fully inspected by the people who build these machines before being listed.
Is the warranty shorter because it is pre-owned?
No. It carries the same full 1-year warranty as a brand-new B-1180L.
Can I see photos of this exact machine?
Yes, and you should. Email info@bluemycomfg.com and we will send detailed photographs of the specific unit in stock before you order.
Should I buy this or a smaller new machine?
Depends entirely on the volume you need. This refurbished chamber runs 1,500 lbs per cycle against 700 lbs on a new B-550L. If you are filling a 550 twice a day already, this is more capacity for comparable money. If you are not, the smaller new unit is the better buy — a half-loaded chamber costs the same to run as a full one.
How does it ship?
Freight. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm delivery logistics for your facility and quote freight to your address. Because of the 101-inch height, plan the route from the delivery point to the machine's final position before it arrives.
